‘Bold’ Cowboys Trade Proposal Sends Highly Paid WR to Packers

The Dallas Cowboys have been linked to huge trades throughout the summer, but a fresh idea would send a veteran wide receiver to the Green Bay Packers.

Dallas and wide receiver Michael Gallup are entering a critical year in their partnership, although the Cowboys may hypothetically trade Gallup before the start of the 2023 season.

Gallup would be traded to Green Bay in return for a 2024 third-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick, according to NFLAnalysis.net's Evan Massey.

"Bringing in a player like Gallup would make a lot of sense for the Packers." If the Cowboys are willing to move him, there is a potential deal that could satisfy both parties," Massey wrote.

The Cowboys would add draft capital and pursue CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks as their top two targets."

Granted, Jerry Jones and company may simply want to have Gallup around as a weapon for Dak Prescott."Given that the Cowboys haven't released Gallup yet,

it appears that Dallas intends to keep him. Dallas is still waiting for the 27-year-old receiver to return to form, which would create an impressive trio if CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks stay healthy and productive.

Cowboys fans understand how good Gallup can be when he's healthy and plays frequently. Gallup had an early impression as a developing rookie after joining Dallas in the 2018 NFL draft before exploding throughout the 2019 season.
