Chris Jones Offer Shows Huge Gap for Chiefs

Star defensive tackle Chris Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs don't appear to be close to a contract.

Jones has already made it clear that he is prepared to miss nearly half the season in order to negotiate a new contract.

The offer from the Chiefs was revealed by NFL expert and devoted Chiefs supporter Nick Wright,

and it demonstrates how far apart the two sides are.The offer, according to Wright, is a two-year,

$54.5 million deal. He would earn $27.3 million a year as a result.

He would come in second place with this only behind Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams.

Given that Donald is a talent of a generation, Wright calls this contract an anomaly.
