Last week, the Buffalo Bills made some painful decisions in order to reduce their roster to the 53-man limit, and one of the most difficult goodbyes was to guard Ike Boettger.
Boettger, who has been with the Bills since 2018, was widely expected to be re-signed to the practice squad after failing to make the active roster.
"Boettger is gonna be on the PS or I'll be an animal's uncle," Buffalo Fanatics editor-in-chief Zach Vaughn commented, while The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia said it "would not be a surprise"
The Bills, on the other hand, added 16 guys to the practice squad, and Boettger was not one of them. While Buffalo will continue to tweak their roster during the season,
according to the guard's wife, Katie Boettger, his time in Orchard Park is over.On September 4, Katie posted numerous images of her husband and two daughters dressed in Bills apparel, writing
"We closed this chapter the past week and as I sit here and reflect on our time there, all I really think about is how blessed we've been!"
Buffalo became our home *away from home*, and it is absolutely full of beautiful people.
The friendships, community, team, women's organization, and so on are absolutely unique.
