James Outman's up-and-down rookie campaign has earned him the title of National League Rookie,

of the Month for August.Outman had a.277/.408/.482 batting line with five home runs, 15 RBI,

and a 148 wRC+ in August. In the National League, he had the highest on-base percentage,

the most walks (16), and the most home runs throughout the month.

His OPS (.8897) was just behind Rockies outfielder Nolan Jones' (.8902) in terms of performance.

Outman placed third in runs scored (17), second among NL rookies in hitting average, slugging percentage,
