Orioles sweep Angels 10-3, extend winning streak to 5.

Anaheim (AP)— Austin Hays' four hits and four RBIs helped the Baltimore Orioles sweep the Los Angeles Angels in three games on Wednesday night, staying atop the AL East.

Hays and Anthony Santander hit back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning, while Santander and Urias each had three hits.

Orioles right-hander Kyle Gibson (14-8) allowed three runs on six hits in six innings as they won their fifth straight.

Baltimore leads Tampa Bay by 3 1/2 games in the division heading into a three-game series in Boston starting Friday. The Orioles are 5-1 on their nine-game journey to Arizona, LA, and Boston.

The Angels dropped their sixth straight game and ninth in a row after Luis Rengifo hit a two-run home run.

The Angels played their third straight game without Shohei Ohtani (oblique). Urias' RBI single gave Baltimore a 1-0 lead in the second, and a four-run third gave them control.

Baltimore loaded the bases with one out in the third on an error and two walks from left-hander Patrick Sandoval before Hays singled to left center to score two runs.

After Urias' infield single loaded the bases again, Aaron Hicks hit a two-run single to left to make it 5-0.
